Overview

Different faculty have different professional development needs depending on many factors including how long they have been teaching, how much professional development they have taken, how long they have been at CSUF, and their discipline. The lists below are designed to inspire faculty who may not know where to begin or where to continue in their professional development.

New to Teaching or CSUF

• One IMPACT workshop
• One (or all) of the Teaching and Learning Certificate workshops
• Introduction to Canvas asynchronous workshop
• Canvas Assessment Strategies and Methods asynchronous workshop
• Equitable Pedagogy Series self-paced modules
• Be on the lookout for Mentor Connext call in late Fall for mentees (spring start)

STEM Research Faculty

• Quantitative workshops (accessed from the Scholarship page)
• STEM Offerings in the new AI Learning Trailblazer certificate (scroll down the page to the STEM heading)

Seasoned Users of CSUF's Faculty Development Center

• All IMPACT workshops (there are new ones!)
• Earn Supporting Neurodivergent Students certificate (it is new)
• Earn AI Learning Trailblazer certificate (it is new)
• OER Certificate Program (asynchronous; already completed in the Fall, but look for it in Spring)
