Using Online Discussion Forums and Groups in TITANium to foster student collaboration

Length: 2 hours

TITANium offers multiple ways to foster student collaboration. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to:

  • Create and use Forums for introductions, student discussions, and more.  Forums allow students to engage in discussion without the need to meet at the same time and place.  TITANium offers faculty several discussion formats.  Forums are also useful for student support, a virtual student lounge, and quickly sharing student projects with the whole class. Best practices for online discussion are discussed.
  • Using small groups is an effective instructional strategy for discussion, and other learning activities. Groups created at the course level can be used in multiple activities. A big timesaver. Participants will learn how to create and assign private and visible groups.
