How do I add a Turnitin Assignment in my Blackboard Course?
Log on to Blackboard
Go to the course where you wish to add a Turnitin Assignment
Go to the Control Panel and click on the Content Area where you wish to add the assignment (eg: Course Documents or Assignments)
At the top of the page, locate the drop down menu on the right-side of the toolbar, click on it and scroll down to select Turnitin Assignment, then click on Go

You will get the Turnitin options page, select the options as desired. Note: The post date must be set to a minimum of 24 hours after the due date.
The post date determines the date and time instructor Grademark comments will be visible to the students, however it is a required field in Turnitin
whether or NOT you are using Grademark.

Select YES to view advanced assignment options
Click on the Submit button at the top when done

You will receive a receipt.

Your students can now access your Blackbaord course and submit their assignment without having to log on to Turnitin.com. Students click the View/Complete link to begin the submission process. Click here to view the student submission help page, this page is meant for your students to get help in submitting a Turnitin assignment.

Once your students have submitted their assignment, you can view the originality report from two different places within the Control Panel.
1) Turnitin Assignments -- You may prefer this option if you have previously used Turnitin.com OR if you prefer to view the originality report icons (representing the similarity index) for all students at a single glance.
2) Gradebook
Method 1: Viewing Originality Reports via the Turnitin Assignments link
Go to the specific course, click on the Control Panel. Next click on the Turnitin Assignments link.

Locate the assignment you created in Blackboard using Turnitin, and click the View link.
The list of student papers submitted displays along with an originality report icon for each. The icon represents the similarity index,
i.e., the approximate percentage of the student's paper to which Turnitin found matching text in its database.
If you wish to view the complete student roster (regardless of submission status), click the Roster Sync link located on the upper right.
To view an originality report, click the icon.

To sort the list by any column header, click the header.
To download any or all papers to your computer, check the box on the left, and click the download button (top left).
Method 2: Viewing Originality Reports via the Gradebook
Go to the specific course and click on the Control Panel and Gradebook
Locate the column for the assignment you created in Blackboard using Turnitin and click on any of the Exclamation marks that reflect student submission.

The Modify Grade page will display, click on the View button on the far right

In the page which displays (also named Modify Grade), click the View button next to Originality Report.
This will display the Originality Report, you may Print or Save the report to your computer. For a brief informative video on how to read the originality report, go to: http://www.turnitin.com/static/videos/or_vid.html

To view the paper without the originality report mark-up, click the View button adjacent to User's Paper.
To enter a grade for the student assignment close out of the window displaying the paper and enter a grade in the Feedback to User box on the Modify Grade page. Enter any comments. Click Submit when finished.
To view the student score click on the Gradebook link from the Breadcrumb menu:

You will now see the student score as you posted it:
