Advanced Online Grants
Advanced Online($1,000) for faculty who have received a prior
STI grant or who have used WebCT or Blackboard in a significant teaching
assignment(needs to be documented).
Faculty who have already conducted web-based teaching using Blackboard
or WebCT will learn to use the advanced features of those systems to create
completely or almost completely online, syllabus-based courses for their
students. Participants will be exposed to a variety of instructional strategies
that can be effectively utilized for more complete online student learning
experiences. There will be one day of hands-on training on Friday, June
21st.
To receive their final stipend, professors will be expected to provide
the FDC with documentation concerning utilization of materials developed
in the advanced STI training in their courses.
How do I apply?
In 100 words or fewer, complete the online
application indicating:
- Name The CSUF course(s) you teach and the projected number of students
for which you would like to do this work.
- How will you use technology in this course.
- Describe the teaching/learning activities that you plan to use to
meet the objectives of this STI grant.
When is the deadline for applications?
The deadline to submit an application is May 3, 2002. Grants will
be awarded and recipients will be notified by May 24th, 2002.
