How to Add an Assignment

You can add an Assignment to a Content area. Assignments lists the name, point value, and you can include an attachment. After the student completes and submits an Assignment you will need to use the Gradebook tool to view the assignment and asing the score. The score will be added automatically to the Gradebook. Assignments submitted by students may not be viewed or graded in the Content Area.

From the Control Panel:

1. Click on desired Content Area.

2. Choose Assignment from the Add Other pull-down list.

3. Click the Go button.

4. Type the name of the assignment in the Name field.

5. Type the total points that will appear in the Gradebook in the Points Possible field.

6. Type text into the Instructions field.

7. Click on the Yes radio button to make your assignment visible.

8. Select the Display After date, click the the Display Until check box and select the date from the pull down menus.

9. Click the Browse button to attach the assignment and provide the Name of Link to File.

10. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the Submit button.
