Chair Support Program
Each year, the Office of Academic Programs and the Faculty Development
Center sponsors a year-long series of seminars designed especially to
meet the needs and concerns of Department Chairs or Heads and other administrators.
For example, past seminars included topics such as our WASC re-accreditation
process, the chair’s critical role with junior faculty and RTP, an
update on the American Disabilities Act, an assessment symposium, and
Dr. Richard Chait of Harvard University who addressed the group on the
issue of effective leadership.
