Faculty Writing Assistance Program
Faculty may receive writing assistance through the Faculty Writing Assistance Program sponsored by the Faculty Development Center and the English Department. The Program will offer special-topics sessions throughout the year. Times and dates for the fall sessions are listed below. Planned topic areas are: (1) Writing for Tenure and Promotion: The Portfolio, (2) Making Writing Happen, (3) Making Writing Right, and (3) Writing for Publication: A Conversation with Editors of Academic Journals and Collections. We will also be facilitating monthly Writing Groups that are intended to provide faculty writers with quick and immediate feedback from readers. Participants are asked to bring work in progress, portions of which they will share with the group for feedback about the effectiveness of the writing.
Please contact Dr. Sheryl Fontaine, Professor of English and Acting Coordinator of Faculty Research to reserve a space at a workshop or with questions or ideas regarding the Program.
