KPFK 90.7 is a Pacifica
Radio Station that carries Democracy Now and other alternatives
to mainstream programming.

The region has several NPR stations: KPCC
in Pasadena is 89.3; KCRW is at 89.9.

KFWB 980 carries news, traffic and the Dodger
games; KNX1070 is another
all-news radio station that carries frequent traffic reports
and sports.

The Orange County Weekly is the county’s weekly alternative paper. It’s available
free at M.J. Espresso on campus (in between Humanities and University
Hall); published on Thursdays

KOCE is a PBS station, and the
only local television station. All the others are based in
Los Angeles, including the other major PBS station, KCET.
