This program is designed to honor and promote excellence in teaching among tenured, mid-career, and senior faculty. The Teacher/Scholar in Residence Program (TSR) hinges on the premise that excellence in teaching is a necessity in the development of an effective learning environment. The program is designed to provide support and a context that will permit faculty to share their experiences, enrich their expertise, and recognize and reward excellence in the classroom. Teacher/Scholars will have the opportunity to deepen and extend their expertise in teaching and in instructional technology in collaboration with a supportive group of campus colleagues. During their tenure as Teacher/Scholars, selected faculty will share their training and experience with colleagues in their school and on campus.

These projects should begin in the first year and culminate in year two. Maximum flexibility in the design of the projects is permitted. Teacher/Scholars will present or make their project available to other faculty in the school and across campus.
Monthly Group
Meeting Activities
Teacher/Scholars will meet on average as a cohesive
