Summer Technology Institute Grants 2002

The Faculty Development Center (FDC) is pleased to announce the availability of the Summer Technology Institute (STI) grants for 2002/2003. Designed to help faculty learn how to integrate technology into their instruction, the grants support faculty as they implement syllabus-based online projects, activities, and teaching tools that create collaborative, online learning environments and experiences for their students.

Grants are available to all full time faculty, or two person faculty teams of full-time tenure track faculty. Full-time lecturers are also eligible on a space-available basis. Grant recipients will receive 1/3 of their grant stipend immediately after completing training at the FDC. The remaining portion of the grant will be awarded at the end of the semester in which:

  1. The instructional materials are used by CSUF students, and
  2. Grant recipients submit a final report for approval by the FDC, describing and reflecting upon the use of the online materials in their classes, focusing specifically on the objectives listed below, for each type of grant.

Faculty members may apply for only one of the following grants. Three grants are available:
