Grants
The Faculty Development Center coordinates several funding programs directly supporting teaching and scholarly/creative activities.
Spring 2013 Programs: (View the Call for Proposals Flyer) All proposals must be complete and submitted online (no paper copies will be accepted).
Deadline: Monday, March 11th, 2013, 5:00 PM
All grants are highly competitive—no grants are guaranteed! Write for reviewers outside your field. All pertinent university policies must be followed to receive any funding. Note: A final report will be due for all awarded proposals.
Each year, the President provides an allocation of funds to defray expenses for tenured/tenure track faculty (up to $1,000) who have been invited to present at, or participate in, significant international conferences, meetings, and other related research and professional activities outside of the United States. The Spring 2013 application is for travel taken between January 1, 2013 and June 30, 2013. This grant is usually used to reimburse travel that has already occurred rather than to provide initial funding. A completed travel authorization showing all required approval signatures (traveler, chair, dean, vice president, and president) received prior to the travel departure date must be submitted with the proposal. A completed travel request form showing all required approval signatures (traveler, chair, dean, vice president, and president) received prior to the travel departure date must be submitted with the proposal.
The FEID grants are designed for projects aimed at improving instructional processes and CSUF student success. All full-time, tenure/tenure-track faculty, librarians and lecturers with full-time contracts are eligible. The awards include 3 WTU's of release time for either the Fall or Spring semester OR a stipend of $4000 for Summer 2013 or Fall or Spring semester and/or up to $500 for Operating and Equipment funds. The application requires the signatures of your Chair and Dean.
