Guest Speaker: Sandra A. Glass, PhD is an independent
consultant for education and philanthropy. For 16 years, she was
a member of the staff of the W. M. Keck Foundation of Los Angeles
and was its Program Vice President for higher education in the priority
areas of science, engineering and liberal arts grants from 1993
to 1998.
Current activities include advising private and corporate foundations
on developing policies and procedures, working with universities,
colleges, and non-profit organizations on foundation fundraising,
and helping individuals design philanthropy programs. She has recently
edited two volumes in the Jossey-Bass/Indiana University journal
New Directions for Philanthropic Fundraising: "The Changing
World of Foundation Fundraising" and "Approaching Foundations:
Suggestions and Insights for Fundraisers."
