Engaging Students in Learning
- Live National Teleconference
- Thursday, March 6, 2003
- 10:00am – 12:00pm
- Pollack Library North, Room 130
The central goal for all higher education institutions, be they
public or private, two-year or four-year, is student learning. Because
engagement is central to learning, a key question for institutions
is whether they are engaging students and promoting their success.
Join our three expert panelists as they discuss overcoming barriers
to student success, strategies for involving students that lead
to learning and an exploration of national and local assessment
instruments designed to increase our understanding of our students'
engagement and achievement.

on the First Year of College
- Patricia King, professor of Higher Education,
University of Michigan
