This series of three, one-hour seminars, meeting over a period of 3 weeks, will provide you with tools and techniques that will improve your students' involvement in the teaching and learning of your course materials. In this series, you will learn and experience, from a student standpoint, methodologies that will facilitate students learning in your classes. . Over the course of three meetings you will examine and experiment, as a learner, with different models and tools that you can use to structure and assess group discussion. Over a period of 2 weeks, you will gain familiarity with online discussion tools: threaded discussion, online chat, and instant messaging.
