Online Collaboration with Google Apps
Description
In this workshop, we will cover the basic functions of some common Google Apps [http://www.google.com/apps/] and how they can be effectively used in education.
Participants will learn about:
- Docs (including documents, spreadsheets, presentations and forms)
- Sites
- Groups
- Blogs
- Calendar
Participants will also learn how to:
- Share the content they create
- Integrate content as a data mash-up
- Collaborate online
As the outcome of this workshop, participants will produce either an “ePortfolio” or a prototype course website.
Prerequisites:
- Participants should be familiar with the Google search engine, as well as Gmail or equivalent (such as Windows Live).
