Some instructors and students worry that online courses will necessarily be solitary adventures. Not so! This workshop briefly explores some of the research on establishing community in the online learning environment and shares plenty of tips for building a community in your online class. Participants are encouraged to bring and share their own success strategies for community building in the online classroom.
