This two-hour hands-on workshop introduces you to video editing with Adobe Premiere Elements. Short video clips can enhance your course by illustrating a concept, a technique, a person, or even a location in a way that your words alone can’t. Shoot and edit digital video to meet your educational objectives!
Examples of useful instructional videos faculty can create include:
- Demonstrations of effective teaching practice
- Client - provider interpersonal communication skills - do's and don'ts
- Laboratory methods - step-by-step instructions
Adobe Premiere Elements is the consumer version of the professional video editing program. It offers many of the features of the professional version for a fraction of the price (Academic pricing - approx. $70)
Objectives
At the conclusion of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Import video from a digital videocamera (supplied)
- Select clips to use in a project
- Assemble the clips in the timeline to create an educational video
- Add effects and transitions
- Add background music
- Add title and credits
- Export the video for distribution
Prerequisites
- Basic Windows computer skills.
