Learn How to Use Video & Audio Clips within your PowerPoint Presentations

Description

Effectively selected and placed within a presentation, audio and video have the potential to enhance the learning experience. In addition to catching the audience’s attention, multimedia can be used illustrate a concept or technique, demonstrate behaviors and interpersonal interactions, view historical events or people, and more….in a way that can be more powerful than words alone.

This hands-on workshop demonstrates how to add audio and video to your PowerPoint presentations and customize the display options to meet your goals.

Objectives

  • Insert sound and video to play within a PowerPoint presentation.
  • Customize playback options
    • Play video or sound automatically or on the click of a mouse
    • Play video full screen
    • Start video at the desired location within a longer clip (no editing necessary)
    • Hide the sound icon
    • Loop a music track
    • Play sound over several slides
    • Record your voice
    • Play sound from a CD
  • Locate and incorporate sound and graphics using MS Clip Organizer
  • Package a presentation for trouble-free play from another computer
  • Understand the meaning and importance of multimedia file size
  • Understand Fair Use Guidelines for Educational Multimedia
Prerequisites

Ability to create text-based PowerPoint presentations.
