Subscribing to Podcasts using RSS Feeds

Description

This workshop explains how to search for and subscribe to free audio podcasts using RSS feeds. RSS readers such as iTunes and myYahoo make it easy to locate and receive selected podcasts on a regular basis. Podcasts can bring a wealth of current and interesting broadcasts and presentations straight to your computer, with minimal time and effort. Watch them on your computer or take them with you by transferring them to your mp3 player or iPod.

Objectives

Locate and subscribe to podcasts from various educational websites.
Watch podcasts on your computer.
Add RSS feeds using URL's.
Comprehend the meaning and importance of RSS feeds and readers.
Use an RSS service to your benefit to save time.
Understand how to incorporate new technology services such as RSS readers into teaching and research.
