Description

The purpose of this workshop is to assist faculty who are using Blackboard to teach a hybrid or 100% online class; and familiarize faculty with current online learning concepts and practices.This workshop provides participants with the opportunity to meet and learn from other faculty's experiences and ideas.

Prerequisites

None

Objectives

Describe current online learning theories.
Describe the process of how to analyze, design, and develop an online course.
Describe how to incorporate participation in the course.
Demonstrate communication tools in Blackboard.
Demonstrate how to use discussion boards, virtual classroom, and email.
Demonstrate how to make student activities meaningful.
Demonstrate how to prepare to teach online.
