BB7 - Blackboard: Redesigning a Blackboard Course Web Site
Description
This workshop is for faculty who already use the Blackboard system. This hands-on workshop covers principles of instructional design including analyzing, designing, developing, and implementing design strategies. Faculty will learn how to design the navigation, enable and disable tools, organize course materials, upload a syllabus, copy content to new locations of the same course Web site, and copy content to a new course Web site.
Prerequisites
- Previous Blackboard use and design.
- Basic computer skills.
- Opening, closing and saving documents.
Objectives
- Review principles of instructional design.
- Integrate design strategies into a Blackboard course.
- Identify new features on the control panel.
- Manage the course menu.
- Enable and disable tools.
- Change settings.
- Create folders.
- Upload documents.
- Use the course link tool.
- Use the copy course tool.
